Thirsty Fish Bar

Thirsty Fish Bar

They have a great little italian bar right here in the middle of the complex which is great to have each evening for cocktails and food. The bar opens every night of the week at six pm which is party time when you're on vacation in Florida and that is the time to start the alcohol flow! It's a great place right on the dock side of the boat Taxi Service.

When you come back from Universal Studios taking the boat, the captain will drop you off right here at the bottom dock area below the entrance to the restaurant. Inside is every kind of wine choice you could possibly think of. The beer menu is excellent and has lots a good choices from domestic beers like bud light all away up to the fancy things like the dog pale ale. To me this place should open up about noon and is just ideally located for people to grab a quick bite on the way to or from the theme park activities.

There's a lot of competition for the food dollar in this area because you have the Citywalk Restaurants to pick from When you get Hungry. That might be the best thing about staying at a wonderful hotel like the Portofino Bay is the food options that are all within Walking Distance. There's no need to get into your car and hop over to one of the local restaurants like cafe, even though there are so many good ones, because you can walk to a great mix of choices.

I was really surprised how many different varieties of red wines you could possibly have at one location like this for by the glass purchase or by the bottle. I was more in the beer drinking mood so I ended up getting a Orlando brewing company blonde ale beer and actually I had three total! All of the walking during the day at the theme parks will make you at least twice or three times as thirsty as any other day.

Trust me when you walk for eight hours you are burning a lot of calories and that means some italian pasta dishes would be just right to pick from while you're sipping on your alcohol. A vacation means enjoying the best of good times and the best of high quality foods. The pasta is made daily and you can taste the freshness right away from the first bite. I have to admit I like Flippers Pizzeria which is close by but this is a whole another level of eating.

Your main problem will be trying to pick between maybe a brick oven pizza or the classic calzone. You can get one of those hot pressed italian Sandwiches which are fantastic or maybe some flatbread pizza. Choices are a good thing and that is what you get here from the wine to the food. We would rate this Orlando Italian Restaurant as excellent.
