This is southernmost paradise beach and a must do when you visit the city of Key West. I have to rave a bit as this park has it all. This is A View of the beach from the snack cafe. Watch all sorts of boat traffic go by in the shipping channel, even the giant cruise ships go right past the outer big rocks. The rock formations are a fantastic place to snorkel, and the beach is full of soft, white sand. It is laid back here, almost dreamy-like. This is a very relaxing place to visit. See the Fort Taylor Park trails which have a whole history to tell.
I tell everyone how the keys are ideal because you can work and play hard here. Snorkeling Florida Keys waters is a favorite pastime of local residents. The sports we participate in are not only sports, it's a true passion like Bocce Ball. Have a lip smacking Margarita on the beach at sunset with some fiveguys.com burger is my kind of thing. Walking the Old Seven Mile Bridge and Fort Taylor Park are my favorite things to do.
