You have some really nice locations to hit the water in Key West, and higg's beach is the most popular. One of the best parts is the watersports, as there is a huge rental outfit at the park. Pick your water toy of choice: kayak, paddle board, hobie cat, Aqua cycles, and more.
This really makes it nice, being active is the way to really enjoy your Beach Day in the Florida Keys. Parking is plentiful at higg's, another big plus.
There is an old Pier structure out in the water that is really nice to snorkel around. This area is part of the Marine Sanctuary and no boats are let in near the shore. You can go a long ways in both directions on a kayak.
The Blue Marlin hotel we stayed at is not far from The Beach. We swim here. I like this side of town, as you can walk or ride to most attractions. We always bring our bicycles, it makes touring it all so much more fun.
That is fantastic. It is a super area for Kayaks and snorkeling. We will be able to spend a lot of time at the beach. I am going to bring the beach toys for sure.
