We cannot rave enough about the lovely rv accommodations and fun at the big Disney RV Park. Two years later and my child still could not wait for Disney Camping again. We improved the camping experience by renting a Golf Cart, brought the bikes, and we used a screened canopy tent as a living room. The second Fort Wilderness camping trip was just a super duper time.
Calling all campers, this is the place for the tent or rv travel trailer. If Orlando attractions are what you came to find, there is lots to do near the campground. You won't have to look far for good dulcetto pizza food in Orlando or eat some good country bbq at The Resort cafe.
From the hotel it is easiest to get to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot Showcase park. Take the free bus ride trip over to Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom Theme Park. If you have time and kids, make sure you checkout the Espn Wide World of Sports Complex and the campgrounds have lots of sports equipment and canoeing boats. We focused on the Mickey Mouse fun but Discovery Cove, Aquatica and Citywalk are all close if you want that action.
Learn about the scheduled Shuttle Bus when you get there with orange lines and green lines going to different places. For the reunion party we used the platinum Transportation group or just focus on the Disney shuttle system. This is the place for Camping near Walt Disney World. It is cheaper than the regular in room resorts which means you can spend your money at the parks instead of the room!
Try your remarkable to see the hoop-dee-doo Musical revue. The Nightlife is good and we had exceptionally big-smiles-fun evenings. A wonderful experience is using a tent and not the rv travel trailer. Spot the variety of boats available to rent from the marina, but the free Boat Taxi is plenty for us.
It was really fun to see some of the Disney touches at the pool and Recreation Center. If you want to stay at Fort Wilderness, it is either the campsites or the wilderness cabins. The hoop-dee-doo musical revue is on for three times a night. You will be at the marina at Fort Wilderness a lot for the ride in the boat.
It's definitely worth having a look at for the rv visitor. Get the best burgers in Orlando at wendys and then eat them at the Boat Taxi docks on the picnic tables.
