This place is excellent, as on the backside of the building is the waterfront dining and there is a huge marina. A very active area, with a lot of fishing boats coming and going, which is why they offer to Cook Your Catch. Yes, they offer to take your fish catch and cook it your way. I prefer to get it lightly blackened, which is oh so good.
Breakfast on the patio is really neat, as it is all shaded and cool. You will pick from all sorts of eggs, waffles, pancakes, and omelets. The Reef Breakfast Sandwich is excellent and what a way to get ready for the Robbie's Happy Cat Reef Trips! Yes, they run fishing, Kayaking, and reef pleasures out of here too!
Nice place, as you cannot tell how good from the road. I now just love making the Grilled Shrimp Tacos at home and am perfecting the recipe. You want to used grilled shrimp, (key west pinks are the best) and use soft taco shells. Add in shredded cabbage, sour cream, tomato, monterey jack cheese, salsa, and hot sauce to taste.
We have not eaten at The Hungry Tarpon before, and are planning to next week. It looks like a nice place and it is right on the water at Robbie's Marina and Boatyard. Plus, they will Cook Your Catch For Lunch or dinner.
