Fun to do for Families

Can't wait to go kayaking in the mangrove areas around Robbie's. It's such a neat place to kayak and the fishing feeding. We might also go out to Indian Key too. It is one of the more family friendly places, and the double Kayaks are nice for one parent and one child. The parent gets in the rear seat of the kayak so you can watch you kid in front, plus the rear seat is where you can turn the boat easier with the paddle. Yes, Double Kayaks are nice for Parents with Kids!

US1 Stops for the Family Fun

Shopping for cool hats to wear in the Florida Keys is fun. They have a lot of them down in Mallory Square, plus the hats at the Five Dollar Store. Online is the Hats in the Belfry Store, which has hats and caps for everyone, even the perfect fishing hat! When you go fishing or even out on the docks, you need a hat that will stay on your head because of the wind. Those have an extra Adjustable Leather Cord and are good for on the kayak too.

Dockside Pleasures make for a great vacation

Use the Giant Hats on the docks! We stopped at the K-mart in Key Largo and got some huge hats for shade, which you will need on the boat docks. Really, every single time you get out of the car and do anything, grab your big hat and put it on. You spend so many hours outside, probably the opposite of what a normal day is like for us back home in Miami. Sure is fun doing all the stuff in the clear water. It is not near as clear up north because of the waves.

I like the half day idea from Robbie's. It is so close and we can cook our catch, or take it to Lazy Days. Yes, you just take the Party Fishing Boat at Robbie's Marina and catch them first.
