We found the spot for a true Florida Keys Island Breakfast, it is adorable. Before your reef trips, a big three-egg omelet is plenty to fill you up, and you might have leftovers to drop back in the frig. On special today was the Pennekamp Sausage and Egg Sandwich, with grilled sausage, fluffy eggs, red onions, sliced cheddar cheese and hot pressed ciabatta roll, so we got that the next day!
I really like the cool smaller sized restaurants in the City Center, as there are a group of them at around mile marker 99-100. Denny's Latin Cafe is excellent, although does not look great from the exterior. Our Bayside Inn Hotel was right next to it so it was easy for coffee and lattes. DJ's Diner was Prime Time too.
On the way down we stopped at the Royal Palm Grill, at the very top of the Florida Keys. The Breakfast Veggio was really good and had eggs, grilled tomato, roasted Peppers, melted Swiss cheese, red onions, all pressed with cuban bread. Located at 806 North Krome Avenue in Homestead, a winner for sure.
There is a weather link from Mrs Mac's Kitchen Website. Doesn't look like there will be much wind this week. Looks like good fishing weather.
