This is an area that is a hidden gem, and most visitors to the parks do not know it is here. Yes, this entertainment zone is open to the public and has free daily entertainment around the lake. There are a series of hotels mixed in with the entrance to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios, so there is a lot going on. It is a very fun area to visit, a must do part of the Disney Property.
Be sure to stop in at the Wyland Galleries, one of the newer places they added as an attraction. The paintings and art are superior, it is worth checking out for ten minutes or so. Very impressive.
You will also like the Millenia Mall Orlando, it is huge. They have the Anthropologie Store, my personal favorite. It is a clothing and gift store, a guaranteed people-pleaser.
