It's a lot of fun going to the nice waterfront areas around the island. I bet you most people hardly go into the middle of the island at all, not counting the Duval Street area or whitehead street. I'm talking about the middle of the island where the residential neighborhoods are, plus there are a bunch of really nice city parks like the Bocce Ball park. I would definitely go to the White Street Pier and spend some time outdoors, plus there's a dog park right next door. You probably cannot bicycle ride more than two or three blocks without running into another local park. That is especially true when you are touring along us one or the overseas bicycle pathway. Once you get on the bicycle pathway, just follow that along with signs directing you to places where you can park your bicycle and get out and check things over. The park system is excellent, and really adds to the free opportunities to do things in this town.
