Fun Area for Weekends

This is a great area for an island style beach vacation. Wow, we love the resort and all of its amenities. The water sports will make your day, and you will see dolphins out on the sunset cruise. Captiva beach is very nice and you can walk for miles. The shelling here is better than Sanibel, as it has less foot traffic. You should try Captiva kayaks at the marina right next to downtown. This kayak rental is worth every dollar.

Secluded Island Village Oasis for Shelling
You cannot believe how good the shelling up on the tip of the island. Take the water taxi ride over to north captiva and the beachcombing gets even better on that side, since there is no bridge to get there. The shells and the beach are all for a few of the local residents and visitors that are out there each day.
