We fish to catch and eat! Oh the fishing in the middle keys. We have been so lucky with the great snapper and grouper, they are so yummy all grilled up. A good captain to pick is Captain Dan of Shark River Charters. Loads of fun. Also, Sparkey's is the spot for beer and lobster.
Staying near the Boat Docks The area is one of the cheaper places to stay, do negotiate the price to get a deal. Fishing charters are right up the street (main attraction boat). Get a home that has boat dockage. Make sure it says so on the rental listing. There are some really cheap ones, but they have wall units, no central air.

Vacation Fish in Key Colony Beach Key Colony Beach has tons of cheap vacation rentals. I would like a place that has a patio, or balcony, or an outdoor seating area. I think it will be nice to sit outside in the early evening and have a few drinks before going out. Plus, we can even do some fishing from the dock. Just my opinion.
