We saw the NBC News TV Tour of Ft. Myers Edison House and it is even better than their inside look. When they take you around, expect an interesting question and answer session. It is very revealing into the past, how it was, and why it matters so much to us and Fort Myers History.

Do not go when too Hot out Fun place to visit on vacation, but not as good as the Sanibel Shoreline and beach play at Fort Myers Beach. Wear a big hat, as most of the tour is outside.
Parking at the Edison & Ford Homes A nice place to go during the week (open Monday-Friday) and weekends, close to the Downtown Historic District of Ft. Myers. Parking is free and they have a nice amount out back, just behind and to the south of the entrance and ticket area.

Getting into our Unique Past We ended up spending about four hours on the Edison-Ford waterfront property. It could not be more intriguing, you get to see a whole slew of history right up-close.
