Children have more play areas on the Island of Key West, as city officials have made that a big priority. The city started getting at the point where impressions shifted to that of a party town only. Of course, that is not true at all. Places like Astro Park, the Glass Bottom Boat Ride, Ripleys Believe It, and family friendly snorkel trips make it so fun for us with kids. All is great for families down here.

Good Idea for Children Play Make sure your children have hats to wear in the Florida Keys. A hat with a wide brim offers good sun protection to your eyes, ears, face, and the back of the neck. These are the areas particularly prone to overexposure to the sun.
Cost Effective Florida Keys Travel Tips Key West is also a family-oriented community and has long shed the image as only a party town. We take advantage of free activities like the parks to entertain our children between excursions. Our goal is to do one major fee based activity each day (snorkel boat, fishing, sunset sail). The rest of the time is free exploration and bike rides.
