The beach events at Lynn Hall Park are excellent
They have a whole series of events scheduled for down here in October, like Oktoberfest. That is when some of the tourists decide to come back in town as the summer winds down and events start to kick up in the area.

Loves a Ft. Myers Beach Day
Plan for some traffic heading out over the bridge, as the beach entrance road goes from two lanes to one-lane...that is the issue. Once you arrive, everyone is all smiles.

This is the area close to the pier where all of the zany and interesting beach shops are located. Some people call this Times Square, but you might want to just call it the Ft. Myers Beach Shopping District. Parking is cheaper in the metered parking, so do not pay for the people holding signs up in front of parking zones. Cheap stuff is the name of the game here at the beach.
