What about the traffic in Sanibel?
Sometimes Captiva can be a little difficult to get up to. You can ride your bike all the way but it is quite a hike. We ended up here and have to say it does ease the traffic and congestion.

Exploring Hotel Options in Sanibel and we kind of came to the same general conclusion. In the winter months, on the weekends, Periwinkle can be a bit frustrating now and then. Why not just make reservations that avoid the issue all together.

Your website was correct, staying on the bridge side of Sanibel makes the trips even better. You avoid all of the headaches and delays with traffic, as they never happen on the Eastern End of the Island. The hotel is not stuffy at all, just clean and cozy.
