Beginner surfing lessons are a hoot!
I saw some people getting surfing lessons out on the beach today. They show them everything right there on their board in the sand and and the super surfer (the instructor) takes them out into the water to give it a whirl. It's a lot of fun to watch them give it a try and eventually make it work!

Free Parking in Daytona Beach
Could never figure out why they have Free Daytona Beach Parking in the Sunsplash Parking Lot. However, you are charged a fee to parking right on the beach?

Today and everyday (for that matter) is another great time to head over to Daytona's Best Beach Park! Yes, the city center is not as good as this unless you want to drink beer. This place is easy to park and you jump right out on the beach. If you bring your surf board, you do not have to carry it far at all to get it wet in the Atlantic Ocean.
