Have to Say Kayaking is It!
We found a new restaurant to grab a bite, Holly Smoke Heavenly BBQ! Love the name and taste. The kayak rental day was our most fun experience. You can rent them in five minutes tops right next to the Bubble Room Restaurant, the dock is there with an office for kayak pickup and drop off.

We Suggest Sailing or Kayak Rides
Try the Sailing Center at the Marina there inside Captiva Plantation Resort. This is for sailing, which is great here. Kayaks are available right next to the main 4-way stop on the Island, bayside across from The Island Store. You will see about 30 kayaks surrounding the building, by the docks.

It is fun here, with all of the interesting waterways, inlets, bayous, and the gulf of mexico. You can rent all of the water toys at numerous spots either in Sanibel or Captiva Islands. Most people kayak in the backcountry or along the beaches. For fishing, just check at the Bait Shop to get up to speed.
