Pass the Word on Bowmans Beach
Please do not share our Sanibel Island Secret Beach! Just kidding, we do want to invite all to love it just like us. Parking is plentiful, metered for spots.

Great Shelling here on the Shoreline
I loved walking along the shore, picking up shells. There is really a large quantity of them at this beach. Our company does a bunch of the swimming pools on the island, so we get to enjoy the area so much. The Mucky Duck is very good for waterfront beach dining.

Beach Parking is so Important
While Captiva and Sanibel are one big beach area, public access and parking is more limited. We like this park since it has plentiful parking, even some spots are shaded.

Public Beach Areas in Captiva-Sanibel

Lots of parking makes this beach a winner. We also love Captiva Public Beach, on the north end of the island. However, it has only about 20 parking spaces. If you are staying at South Seas Resort, then no problem walking to Captiva. The beaches in Sanibel are just better, because of the parking. We recommend Bowmans Beach as the top pick.
